Avalanche lake is so popular it is almost a right of passage for Glacier National Park-goers. It is a relatively easy hike to an incredible view of glacier-fed waterfalls and a turquoise lake. The trail is accessed by the Trail Of The Cedars, a flat loop that include Avalanche Falls.

Beautiful hike and lake, but can be VERY crowded and difficult to find parking. It's a much more pleasant experience if you're able to avoid peak time of day/season.
