Accessibility Statement
Last updated: February 5, 2026
Knowcals is committed to making our platform accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. If you experience any accessibility barriers while using our site, we want to hear from you.
Our Commitment to Accessibility
Knowcals is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards. Our goal is to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities.
Accessibility Features
We have taken the following measures to ensure accessibility on our platform: - Keyboard Navigation: All interactive elements are accessible via keyboard. You can navigate through pages using Tab, Shift+Tab, Enter, and Escape keys. - Screen Reader Support: We use semantic HTML, ARIA labels, and live regions to ensure screen readers can accurately convey page content and dynamic updates. - Color Contrast: We maintain a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text, meeting WCAG 2.1 AA standards. - Focus Indicators: All interactive elements display visible focus indicators to help keyboard users track their position on the page. - Form Labels: All form inputs have associated labels for clear identification by assistive technologies. - Modal Dialogs: Our modals trap focus within the dialog, close with the Escape key, and return focus to the triggering element when closed. - Responsive Design: Our platform works across a range of devices and screen sizes, supporting zoom up to 200% without loss of content or functionality. - Alternative Text: Images include descriptive alternative text where appropriate.
Known Limitations
While we strive for full accessibility, some areas may have limitations that we are actively working to address: - Map Components: Interactive maps may have limited keyboard accessibility. We provide text-based location information as an alternative. - Third-Party Content: Some embedded content from third-party services (such as Stripe payment forms) may not fully conform to our accessibility standards. We work with these providers to encourage improvements. - User-Uploaded Content: Photos and descriptions uploaded by guides may not always include complete alternative text. We provide guidance to guides on creating accessible content. We are continuously working to improve these areas and welcome your feedback.
